Mission
To construct intelligently designed, technologically savvy, affordable, low maintenance, energy efficient, health orientated, environmentally sustainable housing and property infrastructure utilizing concrete and glass 3D printers along with metal/wood laser cutters and CNC machines.
Overall Vision
The Symbiotic vision is to create compact affordable living environments that people are proud to live and function in regardless of structure size. Symbiotic plans to accomplish this by building space saving homes that are secure and easy to maintain, simplify activities of daily living, minimalize environmental impacts, promote healthy lifestyles, and embody energy efficiency. We want our occupants to be continuously inspired to be both creative and productive simply because they are immersed in an aesthetically pleasing, well functioning, healthy environment filled with beautiful art, plants, and comfortable furniture.
Symbiotic plans to utilize sustainable building practices to construct artistic functional infrastructure designed to support lifestyles that balance Earths ecosphere in a manner that fosters a bright future for all of mankind. Concrete 3D printing reduces the carbon footprint of buildings by reducing work input and waste of building, increasing R-Value of walls increasing energy efficiency, and extending the lifetime of the home, and concrete has one of the lowest CO2 cost per lb of all building materials. Symbiotic will also be sustainable by to use materials like hemp-crete that off gases oxygen, super strong geopolymers made from recycled materials like flyash, PLA using recycled plastic, and graphene based bio-char-crete. We plan to use these different materials for applications that make the most sense functionally in regards to their individual properties. For instance using hempcrete to print the inner wall of a home due to is oxygen off fading property, or super strong Geopolymers with fiber for trusses, bio-char-crete for planters-pots or the top layer of a planned “living” roof. The infrastructure we plan to build ranges from:
-Energy efficient, low maintenance, structurally sound homes specifically designed for coastal, mountain, and desert climates
-Tiny homes and bungalows of various sizes including 120 and 200 sq ft models that don’t require building permits in most counties
-Larger structures like pavilions, stage structures, castles, healing sanctuaries, and temples
-Smaller yet beautifully ornate functional property features like water catchment and storage tanks, pools, soaking pods, mini bridges, sheds, garages, biodigesters, planter pots, raised bed grow boxes benches, fountains, pools, entryways, outdoor fireplaces, fences, water slides, artistic sculptures, and gazebos.
